There are 25 golf courses within a 30 minute drive. There are four championship courses
at the award-winning Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. Many additional public courses are available in
Destin and Panama City.
Sandestin golf can be expensive! Golf prices change with the seasons. Most courses offer discounted rates for early afternoon tee times. Destin public courses I recommend:
- Bluewater Bay (850-897-3241 & 800-874-2128)
- Indian Bayou (850-837-6191)
- Regatta Bay (850-337-8080)
- Seascape Resort (850-654-7888)
Panama City courses are generally less expensive with an extra 20 minutes to get there:
- Holiday Golf Club (850-234-1800)
- Hombre (850-234-3673)
- Signal Hill (850-234-3218) - short ego-builder
* Don't overlook an ultimate putt-putt experience. Just a 2 minute walk toward the beach!!

Baytowne Golf Club
|
After
carving the masterpiece called The Links Course, Tom Jackson returned to Sandestin
to develop the course we call Baytowne Golf Club. As Jackson himself says, "Each
hole has a personality all its own." And that's what makes this course so special.
The front nine boasts a 3,300 yard, heavily bunkered, pine tree-lined layout. The
back nine treats you to vistas only available in Northwest Florida, with the Gulf
of Mexico to the south and the Choctawhatchee Bay to the north. With reverence to
the land on which it was built and the architect's understanding of how to challenge
a player, Baytowne meets all the criteria of a truly great course.

The Links Course
|
Golf
Course Architect Tom Jackson designed The Links Course over 25 years ago. During
construction, Mr. Jackson unearthed a rhythmic flow of par 3s, 4s and 5s winding
their way through the area's lakes, marshes and pine forests.
The Links Course at Sandestin plays into a strong, prevailing Gulf Coast wind making
precise club selection essential. Water features on 13 of course's 18 holes make
shot accuracy a necessity and have earned the course the title of one of the most
challenging ÏresortÓ courses in all of Florida.
In fact, the The Links' 9th hole recalls the spirit of another fine Ïlinks courseÓ,
the 18th at Pebble Beach, as it runs along Choctawhatchee Bay and plays to a 536 yard, par
5. When playing The Links Course, we offer this simple advice: hit'em straight and
you will never lose your way.

Raven Golf Club
|
The
Raven Golf Club at Sandestin weaves its way through the property's wetlands, marshes
and thick stands of pine trees and features, according to courses designer Robert Trent Jones, Jr., "a run of some of the best par
3s, 4s and 5s in the Southeast."
Marked by lush landscaping, dramatic water features and varying bunker patterns providing
each hole with a personality all its own. The Raven Golf Club is unique for the way
it maximizes the landscape - the course looks different from morning to late afternoon.
The Raven measures 6,900 yards from the championship tees, play to a par 71 and features
water on 11 of the 18 holes.
The
Raven Golf Club at Sandestin, along with its two predecessors (Phoenix and Tucson)
own an enviable reputation for providing exceptional guest service. In fact, the
two Arizona Raven Golf Clubs are both ranked in the Top 7 by Golf Digest as
having the best customer service of any golf facility in the world.
At the Raven, every guest service professional and player assistant are fitted with
radio headsets so they can be dispatched at a moments notice. The player assistants
are strategically positioned throughout the course to serve your every need. They
will assist you by raking bunkers: repairing ball marks; acting as forecaddies, bringing
you a new glove from the golf shop and even making your dinner reservations for you.
And that's only part of the story. You have to experience it to know what the Raven's
commitment to service really means.

Burnt Pine Golf Club
|
Golf
course architect Rees Jones has crafted what many believe
to be an unrivaled golf experience in the Southeast. Burnt Pine's tumbling fairways
and undulating greens meander their way through the wetlands, marshes and towering
pine trees and stretch more than 7,000 yards from the championship tees.
Twelve
of Burnt Pine's 18 holes require shots over water and in true Jones fashion, every
hole is strategically bunkered from tee to green. Open to Sandestin Resort guests
on a limited basis since 1994, Burnt Pine has been referred to as the "Crown
Jewel of Florida Golf" by Golf Magazine and recognized as one of the
Top 30 courses in Florida by Golf Digest.
When
you experience Burnt Pine Golf Club, we sincerely hope you will treasure the challenges
this golf course provides, enjoy the endearing guest services you will receive and
